Conway School entered a Football Team in the Sporting Club Thamesmead Tournament. The team showed courage and great attitude to participate in a tournament that most of them haven’t experienced before.
Conway Primary School are in the top 100 of all national primary schools for the overall progress made between Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This is great news and shows how well we are performing. Please see attached a letter from Nick Gibb an MP for schools.

Well done to the team of Year 5 and 6 children who participated in the Greenwich tag rugby tournament at the end of the Autumn term. With a total of 10 teams taking part, the competition was tough and although Conway didn't win the tournament, the children had a great time and are looking forward to taking part in the next tag rugby tournament.
A big well done to Igdaliah in 6S and Calvin in 2D who were awarded certificates for their teamwork skills in PE and sport at the end of term celebration assembly.
We are happy to announce that Conway will be holding a Christmas Fayre on Thursday 10th December 2015.

Local police officers visited the school on Tuesday afternoon to speak to the children in KS2 about keeping safe while using the internet.
As part of the Council of Europe’s language celebration day on Saturday 26th September, Conway celebrated the many different languages and cultures within the school on the Friday (25th September). Each year group explored a particular language and culture through a native story book from the chosen country. The children had the opportunity to discuss the language/s they speak at home and discuss similarities and differences between how the languages look and sound. The children then had the opportunity to listen to and join in with the cultural story, both in original text and English translations. Many activities were completed as part of the day to extend the children’s intercultural understanding, including; story retellings, drama and role play, character journey maps and art work.
