Jeans for Genes Day
On Friday 18th September, the whole school celebrated Jeans for Genes Day by wearing their jeans and donating £1.
We managed to raise £243! Thank you for all of your donations! As part of the day, we held a special assembly to discuss which charities would receive the donations. We also learned about some of the 6,000 different genetic disorders which 30, 000 children and babies are diagnosed with each year.
As a school, we had great discussions about genes in assembly and within class as well as having the chance to learn about individual stories through special videos. To find out more about Jeans for Genes Day, click here http://www.jeansforgenesday.org/
