We hope you have had a fantastic school holiday. Please note that children are to return to school on Wednesday 2nd September as there is a staff INSET day on Tuesday 1st September.
Goodbye Year 6
Year 6 wowed us all with their incredible end of term performance of Goodbye My Friend. The children had been busy rehearsing for several weeks and their hard work definitely paid off – children, staff and parents in the audience were amazed by the quality of singing and acting on show. The hilarious yet poignant show was a fitting end to their time at Conway!
Last week, children in Year 3, 4 and 6, along with Miss Proctor, Miss Barham, Mr Hindmarsh and Miss Lancaster, had the opportunity to participate in our most exciting school trip of the year – a residential visit to the Townsend centre at Swanage in Dorset!
Conway’s Sports Days 2015 were a huge success and children really enjoyed competing in different events across three days
This week Conway welcomed former professional footballer Tobi Alabi from the Heart4More Foundation into school to raise children’s awareness of cardiac related illnesses.
“To be or not to be, that is the question” was just one of the famous Shakespearean phrases that children pondered during Conway’s recent Shakespeare Week, where children were introduced to Shakespeare and his plays in a fun and exciting way.
New reception children will be joining Conway Primary School from Friday 4th September.
Conway Primary School will be holding their Summer Fair on Thursday 16th July from 12.45pm
As the end of the term is fast approaching, we would like to let you know all the exciting events we have planned to mark your child’s amazing achievements this year and their next step into secondary school. Below are details of the events planned.
On Wednesday 10 June 2015 at 10am thousands of children celebrated the wonders of walking by taking part in Brake's Giant Walk from school gates across the UK.
Next week at Conway, children in years 1 to 6 will be celebrating “Shakespeare Week” – an entire week dedicated to learning about the life and works of William Shakespeare. The aim is to introduce Shakespeare to KS1 and KS2 children in a fun and engaging way.
